Today, the inaugural meeting of the National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) Parley Coburn Chapter brought together 56 outstanding student leaders committed to academics, character, attendance, and service. In partnership with Together for Youth, students helped support Foster Care Awareness Month by preparing “Go Purple” coffee sleeves for local coffee shops. Members also presented their “Person of Influence” awards to adults who make a meaningful impact in their lives. We are so proud of this incredible group of Parley Coburn Cougars and look forward to their official induction later this month! #GoExpress

This challenge is more than just a little friendly competition—it’s designed to help students build confidence and strengthen their keyboarding skills, setting them up for success both in everyday learning and on state assessments.

To celebrate their achievement, our winners enjoyed a well-earned donut party and received some fun swag from Learning.com, the platform we use to support keyboarding across our district. Congratulations to all of our participants, and a big shoutout to this year’s winners! #GoExpress

Today, excitement raced through Elmira as the official WGI pace car made special visits to all four intermediate schools! 🏁 Students had the unique opportunity to see the car up close, snap photos, and learn more about what it takes to be part of race day at Watkins Glen International. The visit helped build anticipation for next weekend’s NASCAR race while giving students a memorable, hands-on experience they won’t soon forget. A big thank you to our partners for bringing this incredible opportunity to our schools and helping connect learning with real-world experiences. 🏎️ #GoExpress
