Family, School, Community: Together We Succeed
Learning is in full swing at Riverside during our BOOST program! This week, our second grade students explored science through two exciting hands-on experiments. They investigated what happens to gummy bears when placed in different liquids and discovered the fascinating properties of oobleck.
These engaging activities encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and lots of smiles along the way.
Take a look at some of the fun from this week's science adventures! 🧪✨

Congratulations to Elmira High School Interact Club student Eve McLane on graduating from the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program on July 16!
Sponsored by the Elmira Rotary Club, Eve attended the five-day leadership camp at Finger Lakes Community College, where she joined student leaders from across the region to strengthen her leadership skills and build lasting connections.
Eve will be a junior at Elmira High School this fall, and we look forward to seeing her put those leadership skills into action both in the classroom and through the Interact Club.
Elmira Rotary Club Co-Presidents Laurie Liberatore (left) and Katie Boland (right), along with Jenn Clark, Elmira High School teacher and Interact Club advisor, attended Eve's graduation to celebrate her accomplishment.
Congratulations, Eve! We are proud of your dedication to leadership and service and can't wait to see what you accomplish in the year ahead!

☀️📚 Summer Boost is officially underway!
And it already checks off so many of the things that make summer learning so special.
From engaging lessons and hands-on activities to breakfast, lunch, transportation, and a safe place to learn and grow, Summer Boost is doing exactly what it was designed to do: support students, bridge learning, and keep kids connected all summer long.
We also love seeing familiar staff members—and even former students—returning this summer to help guide, encourage, and inspire our youngest learners. There’s nothing better than that Express connection in action. Here’s to a great start and an even better summer ahead! 🌟

Update as of 1 p.m., Monday June 22, 2026
Dear Elmira High School Families,
After carefully monitoring the forecast, we have made the decision to move Elmira High School’s Graduation Ceremony to Wednesday June 24, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. due to the impending weather.
The location and timeframes remain unchanged.
We know graduation is a special day for our students and their families, and we understand that many people have made plans around this event. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it gives us the best opportunity to celebrate our graduates in a safe and enjoyable setting.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding and flexibility. We look forward to recognizing the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 and celebrating this important milestone together on Wednesday evening.
Thank you for your continued support.

Nothing beats good food and great company! 🍔🌭💙
Today, Beecher Elementary welcomed families for Grilling with Grownups, a special Father's Day celebration organized by 3rd grade teachers, Mrs. Sanchez and Mrs. Wheeler.
From the moment they arrived, guests were warmly greeted and escorted in by Beecher's outstanding Student Council members, helping make everyone feel right at home. It was a wonderful opportunity for students and their grownups to share a meal, make memories, and celebrate the important people in their lives.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success and to all the families who joined us for this special event!
