New in 2020 - Corning Credit Union is offering an all-new scholarship opportunity through StraightTalk® Association for Financial Empowerment (SAFE) (, our nonprofit foundation focused on financial education and empowerment. The new scholarship program serves as a replacement to our former program coordinated in partnership with the New York Credit Union Association. Download the program flyer here.

• Why the Change?

By creating our own scholarship program, we have more flexibility with how it is structured. As such, the program is no longer limited to high school seniors who are college bound. The goal with this approach is to better serve members of all walks of life, including those pursuing a military career, those planning a mid-career change, individuals looking for technical or trade certification, and just about everything in between. In addition, the application is now securely web-based, and we have the potential to award more funding than in previous years.

• Who is Eligible?

The SAFE Student Scholarship Program is open to any Corning Credit Union or SAFE member over the age of 16. It is open to members in any location or state. The member must have established plans to take the next step in their education, development, or career, including vocational studies and/or military enrollment. Ideal candidates value and make contributions toward helping people, serving the underserved, and making impact in and giving back to community. Please be advised that a signature and proof of enrollment or acceptance will be required before any award is distributed.

• What Can You Do?

The application itself may be found at The application is live from Monday, January 13 through Friday, March 20, 2020.

Elmira City School District is upgrading to the Frontline Education’s Insights Platform! The Insights Platform is similar to an "operating system" that our Frontline application is built on. The Insights Platform does not replace our Frontline product; rather it’s now what our application will be built on. The Insights Platform provides enhanced functionality to create a better experience for you.
