🚀 The Express Robotics Team took on 70 schools at the New York State VEX Robotics Championships! They finished with a 4-4 record and made it to the Round of 16. But it wasn’t just about wins—these students showed incredible resiliency, teamwork, and problem-solving skills under pressure. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort and determination! 💪🤖 #GoExpress

Today our students at Parley Coburn experienced something truly unforgettable! Award-winning PUSH Physical Theatre visited our school, bringing their signature blend of intense athleticism, gravity-defying acrobatics, and soulful artistry to the stage. Students were amazed as performers told powerful stories using only movement, strength, and creativity. The experience didn’t end with the performance. Our 4th graders had the opportunity to step into the world of physical theatre themselves during hands-on workshops with the artists. They explored movement, teamwork, and storytelling in a completely new way. Moments like this show students that art can be powerful, expressive, and active all at once. Huge thanks to GST BOCES and PUSH for bringing this incredible experience to our school! #GoExpress

Today we celebrated Social-Emotional Learning with activities focused on kindness, teamwork, and understanding our emotions. 📚🎉 Literacy Month Kickoff at Riverside! 🎉📚
 Today, Riverside students were treated to a laugh-out-loud, high-energy visit from The Laughing Classroom and their interactive Reading Show! From magic and comedy to reading, laughter, and learning, this incredible show had our Pre-K–2 students fully engaged while celebrating the joy and power of literacy. Kids helped “Loopy” navigate tricky words and high-frequency text—proving that reading isn’t just important… it’s FUN! What a perfect way to launch Literacy Month—reminding our students that books help us learn, grow, and explore the things we love most. 💙📖 The Laughing Classroom is presented by retired teacher Michelle Halperin and magician Richard Hughson. #GoExpress

Members of the United Steel Workers Union took some time away from their roles at Corning Incorporated today to talk with our 9th grade students about trades work in the union. Thanks to the Stronger Connections grant and the My Brother’s Keeper program, students had the opportunity today to learn more about trades work and the impact from working professionals. Our Broadway Academy students asked insightful quality about training, skills, wages and more. There are so many pathways to success and we are so pleased to present our students with a variety of options, career, college, trades ready! #GoExpress

We are so proud of our Broadway Elementary stars! 🌟 Two of our outstanding students were honored at the Roadie’s Legacy Awards, presented by Abbey’s Paws Organization in Elmira! 🎉 Peyton was named this year’s Elementary Award Recipient— an incredible achievement! 👏 Esther also received Honorable Mention, a well-deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication. Congratulations to Peyton and Esther for representing Broadway Elementary with excellence. We are so proud of you both! 💙✨

Attention PreK Families! We hope your child is having a wonderful year in our Pre-K program!

As we begin planning for the next school year, we want to ensure that your child’s transition to Kindergarten is smooth and that we reserve their spot on the roster as early as possible.

If you intend to enroll your child in Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, you can now complete a Kindergarten Letter of Intent Form found on the District website. Completing this form now allows you to secure your child’s space on the Kindergarten roster without needing to complete the full Kindergarten enrollment packet at this time.

❤️🌍 Our 5th graders at Coburn Elementarylearned that love truly does travel the world! Inspired by the idea that “love can spread across the world,” teachers asked for Valentines to be sent from everywhere — and the response was amazing! 💌 We’ve heard from 23 US states and 9 countries and expect a letter this week from the Olympics! Students received mail from family, travelers, classrooms, and friends all over the globe — from the UK 🇬🇧 and Ireland 🇮🇪 to Australia 🇦🇺, New Zealand 🇳🇿, Italy 🇮🇹 and even as far away as South Korea 🇰🇵! 📍 Every Valentine was pinned on a hallway world map, bringing geography, cultures, and global connection to life. Along the way, students also practiced internet safety and learned about the places the cards came from. Thank you to everyone near and far who helped spread the love! 💕🌎 #GoExpress
