Health department to hold H1N1 clinics for eligible Elmira elementary students

   The Chemung County Health Department has scheduled three H1N1 (swine flu) vaccination clinics for Elmira City School District elementary school students who returned their mandatory consent forms to school.

Canadian fiddle group to perform at Broadway Middle School

   The internationally-acclaimed group Barrage is coming to BMS for a one-day visit that will include workshops with students and a public performance in the auditorium. The performance is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.

H1N1: Get the facts about Swine Flu

The Chemung County Health Department is working with all area school districts to organize vaccination clinics for the H1N1 virus. (Dates are still to be determined.) Consent forms for school clinics were sent home with students on Oct. 28 and were returned to schools by Nov. 6.

Ernie Davis students pledge to be caring

As part of the recent National Bullying Prevention Week celebrated by every school in the district, students from Ernie Davis Middle School created a DARE 2 CARE wall made up of pledge sheets of what each student will do to show consideration for other students.
