Athletic Hall of Fame

The Elmira City School District Athletic Hall of Fame was established to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding athletes. Through recognition, those individuals and their families will be reconnected with the Elmira City School District and provide current students and athletes with an understanding and appreciation for the positive role models in the tradition of Elmira athletes.



Nomination and Induction Timeline

  • Honorees selected for the Athletic Hall of Fame will be announced annually each fall at the first home football contest of the year.
  • Nominations are due each year by June 1st.
  • The Athletic Hall of Fame committee will meet each year in June to decide on the inductees and nominees will be notified by mid-July.
  • There will be an induction at halftime of the 1st home football contest of the year
  • Up to 5 members will be inducted each year (1 spot for former SHS athletes, 1 spot for former EFA athletes and 3 for EHS)

Requirements

  • Nominees must be out of high school for 5+ years
  • Must have participated in at least 2 years as a varsity athlete
  • Must be a graduate of the Elmira City School District

Make A Nomination

For the committee to review nominations, it is required that the person making the nomination include the nominee’s graduation year and school, varsity sport of the athlete nominee, awards and recognitions earned, athletic achievements and the contact information of the nominee.

Nomination forms are due by June 1st to be considered for current year inductee class.
