Schools Re-Opening

How will school look and feel differently for my child? What does a typical day of school look like? Will the online learning be the same as it was this spring?

Our School Building Administrators and Staff have been working to prepare for the start of school while considering a variety of guidelines set forth in this new era of education. Parents and families have many questions before the start of school this fall. We are pleased to offer parent academy sessions, virtually on our website, for parents to connect with their child’s school principal and staff.

One thing is clear: the decision-making process will be unique for each and every family. Attend an upcoming Parent Academy to learn the answers to some of your most pressing questions.

Elmira High School
School Re-Opening | Parent Academy Zoom Meetings

Thursday August 6 at 10 a.m., 12 Noon, and 5 p.m.
Sunday, August 9 at 5 p.m.
Monday, August 10 at 10 a.m., 12 Noon, and 5 p.m.

The following topics will be highlighted by the Ernie Davis Academy team.

• Expectations -- what does it mean to BE LIKE ERNIE BE A CHAMPION!
• Attendance and Grades
• EDA and COVID-19
• Schoology
• Sports and Grades

Tour Days for Students hosted by School Counselors:

School Counselors will provide Small Group Tours for students only starting Tuesday, August 25 thru Tuesday, September 1st from 9 to 2:30 PM. Parent/caregivers are asked to call EDA to schedule a time to tour with a School Counselor. These tours are for students only. The goal is to provide students a time to meet with a School Counselor, tour EDA , and answer questions and provide clarification on what it means to "Be like ERNIE - Be a CHAMPION!" For students who are not able to attend, we plan to host Student Academy:

At the end of the Intermediate Presentation, there will be a chance to connect with your Building Administrators. We look forward to connecting with you! There is a 50 person limit on each session.
