Coburn Clean-Up Reporting for DutyAs sixth graders in Mrs. McKeever’s class at Coburn Elementary have learned, litter takes years to break down. It releases pollutants into the air, water, and soil and can impact wildlife. Knowing this, our students figured out a way to make a difference within their school community.

In partnership with the school custodial staff, Mrs. McKeever began a clean-up program at Coburn because students themselves noted that the playground and surrounding area was messy. Back in September when this began, the class decided to routinely do a clean-up day once a week on Fridays or as needed. Students have noted that the school continues to get cleaner each time as fellow Cougars do their part to keep the school yard clean.

Our students are thinking globally about pollution and are doing their part locally! Family, School, Community: Together We Succeed! #GoExpress
