An Attitude of Fortitude | A Positive Message for our Elmira Express Community

for·ti·tude (noun) - courage in pain or adversity.

What does it mean to have fortitude?

Empowering strong and positive attitudes, especially during these challenging times, is one of the best things we can provide for our Elmira youth. Empowerment means being supportive. The more we encourage our students, the more self-motivation and optimism that will emerge.
We are living through one of the most challenging times in recent history. In the Elmira City School District, we believe in the power of fortitude -- inspired by the strength that our students will gain when facing adversity. Fortitude in Elmira means that we will power through these difficult times together and our strength will not waver.

Let's seize the moment with.....An Attitude of Fortitude!
