Voters in the Elmira City School District approved one proposition and elected four candidates to school board seats. ALL RESULTS ARE PRELIMINARY FIGURES | Official Election Results will be certified on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Proposition #1: Approval of the District’s proposed 2025-2026 General Fund Budget of $155,344,907: Passed/Not Passed

School Board Election Preliminary Results

Voters also elected four candidates to serve on the Board of Education.

Three seats are for three-year terms, which will run from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028. One seat is for a one-year term and the term will end on June 30, 2026.

Joshua Palmer – Elected to a 3-year term
Ruth Bruning – Elected to a 3-year term
Caranell Parks – Elected to a 3-year term
Julie Wray – Elected to a 1-year term


In the running were: Caranell Parks, Ruth Bruning, Kyle Cundy, Gerald Delaney, Julie Wray, Josh Palmer, Eric Gergel. Results below, in order as they appeared on the ballot:

Kyle Cundy – Total Number of Votes: 376
Gerald Delaney – Total Number of Votes: 369
