Elmira High School Graduation, Sunday June 28, 2020
Hey Gang! Congratulations to the Class of 2020! Below is an outline of what the day will look like. It is very important that everyone follows the timelines.
We look forward to celebrating each and every one of you, as you have worked so hard for this day!
Arrival:
• Your gate will open 15 minutes prior to your assigned arrival time.
• Please use the entry gate assigned to your group.
• The graduate will be given a packet upon entry that will have 4 passes for their guests.
• Upon entry, please stay in your car and tune into the EHS radio station (to be provided) for speeches and instructions.
• A group leader will escort your group to the grandstand at the appropriate time.
Graduation:
• Please follow group leader but also social distance yourself as you proceed to the Grandstand.
• For admittance into the Grandstand, you must have a mask and pass (provided by graduate) around neck.
• Graduates will assemble in the bottom of the Grandstand where EHS adults will assist them in getting ready for the ceremony.
• Guests will proceed to the Grandstand and sit in the assigned areas.
• Graduation LIVE STREAM will be available here on Sunday June 28, 2020 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Diplomas/Pictures:
• After the presentation of diplomas, students and guests (optional) will proceed to the open-air tent where the student will pick up items and have an opportunity to have their picture taken with an EHS background…again socially distancing.
Departure:
• It is important that each group exit through the assigned area designated for that group.
Please note:
• The graduation will be Live streamed with link posted on the district website.
• There is considerable walking (some on uneven ground) involved so wear appropriate footwear.
