This past weekend, our music department at Elmira High School took 125 band, orchestra, and choir students on their annual competition trip to New Jersey. The students performed in a competition, went to Point Pleasant Beach, an Escape Room, and to Six Flags Adventure. All groups placed in their class (Concert Band - 1st, Wind Ensemble - 2nd, Orchestra - 3rd, and Choir - 4th); and best of all, Elmira High School won the "Corps D'Espirit" award out of all the schools that attended!
This award is given to the school that has the best spirit, attitude, and professionalism throughout the competition; We are so proud of our Elmira musicians!
