We are pleased to report that The Great Kindness Challenge at Riverside Elementary School was a great success!
2022 Great Kindness Challenge – our Riverside Elementary School recognized the Great Kindness Challenge all last week and it was a great success! By joining up with the Kids for Peace program, our Riverside Dragons are making the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.
Each student at Riverside received a positive affirmation card that read: “be kind, smile, keep up the good work, and believe in yourself.” Their acts of kindness were rewarded with Kindness Certificates as well as Kind Coins for the book vending machine!
All week, students sang songs, watched videos and read book about kindness. And the kindness chain, shown in the kindness wings photos, was created by every act of kindness from our students. The Kindness Wings were created by Mrs. Guardi’s classroom and Mrs. Riff’s class even donated Kindness Posters to the local animal shelter. Even more exciting, this collaborative art project will be entered into Corning Community College’s upcoming art show.
