EFA School Counseling
Welcome to the Elmira Free Academy School Counseling webpage. School counselors work with all students, school staff, families and members of the community as an integral part of the education program. School counselors maintain confidentiality unless there is a safety concern.
As educators, counselors engage in school-wide change to ensure student success. School counselors collaborate with teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents and community members to impact system-wide changes.
EFA's counselors are dedicated professionals who hold Masters degrees in Counselor Education and believe that each student should have a personal relationship with his/her counselor, which is the foundation for achieving personal/professional goals. Each counselor carries a caseload of approximately 280 students.
