Information About Sex Offenders
The Board of Education recognizes parents/guardians as valued partners in the education of their children. The quality of education is greatly enhanced when parents become involved by staying informed of their students' academic and social growth, placing a high priority on school work and attendance, providing a variety of learning experiences, participating on school committees, attending school activities and informing the school regarding student needs and accomplishments.
The district is strongly committed to facilitating cooperative partnerships with all parents and is committed to parental involvement as a means to improve the educational achievements of all students. The Board of Education expects staff members to promote parental involvement by making outgoing efforts to welcome, include, inform and listen to parents.
Please contact the Parent Partners assigned to each of our schools to inquire about the many opportunities to participate in school planning, student activities or classroom support. The times and dates of Parent Faculty Organization meetings, Building Planning Team meetings and parent information sessions are posted at our schools and published for your convenience on a monthly basis in school newsletters as well the District Dialogue.
Are you an outgoing person who loves to communicate with others?
Do you have creative ideas for involving parents in activities and events?
Are you looking for a part-time position that allows you to work independently and make a difference for our district's students and their families?
If you answered yes to these questions, then perhaps you'd make a great parent partner. We currently have openings in three of our 13 schools. If you're interested in learning more about the position, please call Paige Kinnaird, Parent-Child Resource Center coordinator, at 735-3593.
