Information about sex offenders

The school district periodically receives information about registered sex offenders, including names, pictures and zip codes of residence. The exact address is included if the offender is in the Risk Level 3 category.

This information comes from local police agencies. The school district itself has no way of monitoring when registered sex offenders move into or out of the school district, and the information from police agencies may already be outdated or inaccurate.

Therefore, the school district does not put such information in its publications. The information is passed on to each school and to the district bus garage.

The information the school district receives is available for public review in the main offices of each school in the district.

The best source for the information about registered sex offenders is police agencies. A searchable database is available here.
