The following district residents are candidates for the May 20 Board of Education election after turning in the required number of signatures of qualified voters:

Candidates will draw for position on the ballot at 5 p.m. May 1.
Four seats are up for election May 20. The top three vote-getters will win three-year terms, from July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2011. The fourth-highest vote-getter will complete an unexpired term to June 30, 2010, beginning after the election results are certified.
The League of Women Voters will hold a candidate forum at 7 p.m. May 14 at the EFA community room.
To vote May 20, you must be at least 18 years old, a resident of the school district for at least one month before the election, and registered with the Board of Elections. If you are registered to vote in general elections and primaries, you are also registered for School Board elections and budget votes.
Voter registration forms are available at the Board of Elections, 378 South Main Street. A voter registration day will be held May 6 at the administration building.
