Club helps School Readiness Project

Students in the Express Club recently completed a project to help the area's youngest learners. The Express Club is comprised of students who have demonstrated strong character.

Club members spent free periods and time after school making alphabet flashcards for CIDS to give to the families of preschoolers in Chemung County. CIDS is part of the School Readiness Project, a program designed to better prepare children from birth to age 5 for school.

On Feb. 24, the Express Club presented the flashcards and a decorated box to CIDS representative James Schechter.
