Study in a quiet place.
Review every day - time management.
Keep track of handouts, review materials, etc.
Study as early in the evening as possible.
Listen to lectures and films with pencil in hand and open notebook.
Prioritize assignments by doing first things first.
Don't make excuses for poor performance; look at the real reasons why you were not successful.
Use active study strategies, such as oral recitation, flashcards, creating study guides in your own format, etc.
When reading a passage or chapter, use the SQ3R method.
Highlight important items in your notes.
Relax. Take several deep breaths. Think of something you look forward to doing after school.
Think positive thoughts.
Get enough sleep.
Eat a healthy breakfast each day.
