Middle Ages

Our time with Mistress Lorna Czarnota takes us to the Middle Ages and has us working as apprentices in guilds:

• creating chain-mail armor starting with rolls of wire.

• carding, spinning, and weaving our own cloth

• designing and crafting our own heaters (shields) for battle as knights

• living as monks in a vow of silence while practicing the fine detailed art of calligraphy and illumination

If we apprentices work very hard, we could become journeyman or masters of our crafts, which makes our journey most unforgettable.
