Supervision and evaluation recognize and encourage excellence in professional performance. Effectiveness at improving student achievement is the criterion given priority in supervision and evaluation. Walkthroughs, goal-setting, observations, conferences and evaluation reports share the common purpose of improving student achievement. A specific plan of improvement is developed and implemented when performance is unsatisfactory. Evaluation processes are aligned with statutory and collective
bargaining agreement provisions.
